💙💛🐬 Thank you for keeping our school looking beautiful! A special shout out to our PTA beautification committee led by Joanna Bridges. She along with Suzy Stensrud and Emily Lohr completed a painting project started by"a day of caring" volunteers! In addition, we were happily surprised today by the appearance of these snazzy new blue 💙 and gold 💛 GBE pillows to spruce up our entryway. Thank you, Emily Lohr!

Mrs. Grubb's class had another exciting book club today, this time discussing the Sunshine State Reader The Wild Journey of Juniper Berry. Students enjoyed berry smoothies while participating in a riveting debate about living off the land versus living as a part of society. They are geared up and excited for December's meeting about Benny Ramirez and the Nearly Departed!

Dear Parents and Caretakers,

After Fall Break, our school will begin Progress Monitoring 2 (PM2) assessments. These assessments help track student growth and guide instruction for the remainder of the year.

Grades 3–5: PM2 for ELA and Math will take place in December.
Grade 5: PM2 for Science will take place in January.
Grades K–2: PM2 for ELA and Math will take place in January.

Please ensure that students are present, well-rested, and have had a healthy breakfast on their testing days. Consistent attendance and readiness make a big difference in helping students show what they know.

HAPPY FRI-YAY GBE! Today marks our final day of food donations. Thank you for your generosity in donating needed items for our local food bank! If interested/able our school also annually serves as a collection point for TOYS-FOR-TOTS! NEW, UNWRAPPED TOYS ACCEPTED THROUGH DECEMBER 4th when our MARINE CORPS RESERVE does its final pickup.

Treat your children to a morning of wonder as they discover a lawn filled with edible candy canes, a note from Santa 🎅🏽 (or your Elf on the Shelf) and reindeer food for the night before Christmas! Choose how many candy canes you want placed in your yard and let the GBHS Speech and Debate team do all the work after 7PM on the following evenings. November 28 and 29 (F/Sat) December 5 and 6 (F/Sat) December 10 and |I (W/Th) December 14 and 20 (F/Sat) Reservations are due no later than the Wednesday prior to the event date.
